Nha Trang tightens regulations on beach management

Nha Trang City authorities in the southern central province of Khanh Hoa have issued new rules on coastal park management.

The regulations apply to residents and tourists involved in tourism, leisure, and entertainment activities at Nha Trang Coastal Park, which stretches approximately 15 kilometres along Tran Phu and Pham Van Dong streets.

Organising sports activities, camping, or events without municipal people’s committee approval is prohibited. Bonfires, kite flying, dining, trading, and service activities on the beach are banned except with permission from authorities.

Locals and tourists cannot lie on benches, step on grass, damage plants, or misuse equipment and structures in the coastal park. Littering, urinating, defecating in non-designated areas, and allowing pets to roam freely, defecate in the park, or bathe in the sea with humans are also prohibited. Fishing near the shore within swimming areas and beyond safety buoys or in no-swimming zones is strictly forbidden.

Other restricted activities include playing football or volleyball in the coastal park, operating motor vehicles on flower gardens, lawns, or walkways, and parking any vehicles (including bicycles) outside designated areas.

Nha Trang Coastal Park frequently captivates large crowds of residents and tourists coming to relax.
