Binh Thuan to build VND9.6-trillion coastal road

The southern central province of Binh Thuan plans to construct a coastal road through Phan Thiet City, investing VND9.6 trillion (USD378.69 million) in the project.

The 14.6-kilometre road stretches from the Vo Nguyen Giap roundabout in Phu Hai Ward to the Cambodia Slope in Tien Thanh Commune.

The project will also pass through Ton That Tung Road, the bridge over the Phu Hai River, the Phan Thiet Coastal Tourism Urban Area, Nguyen Tat Thanh Avenue, Le Loi Road, and Doi Duong Park.

Two hundred and twenty-one houses will be cleared to make way for the project.

This road is included in Binh Thuan’s development plan for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision toward 2050, as approved by the prime minister. The project is set to be implemented between 2026 and 2030.

The project is expected to improve accessibility and connectivity between residential areas, tourist hubs, and key economic zones in Binh Thuan.

Many tourism projects in Binh Thuan occupy coastal spaces, leaving minimal beach areas and public seaside parks. In some places, narrow coastal roads do not meet traffic safety and fire prevention standards, posing risks to residents and negatively impacting the urban landscape.
