According to the newly approved master plan by the Binh Duong Provincial People’s Council, the project will cover approximately 458 hectares, including 36 hectares of natural reservoir surface designated for a marina, aquatic farming, and aquatic plant cultivation. The development will provide nearly 4,900 rooms, accommodating 37,000 to 61,600 visitors daily.

Dau Tieng Reservoir, the largest reservoir in Southeast Asia, spans 27,000 hectares. It was formed by damming the upper Saigon River and plays a crucial role in irrigation and tourism.

The Tha La Peninsula is primarily used for growing industrial crops such as cashew, sugarcane, cassava, and maize. Locals have already used the reservoir-side areas of Dau Tieng Reservoir for tourism services.

The Binh Duong Provincial People’s Committee has been tasked with estimating the budget and approving planning criteria by relevant standards.

Under the province’s development plan 2030, Binh Duong aims to become a hub for national and international sporting events, eco-tourism, and resort tourism linked to orchard farms, river landscapes, agriculture, rubber forests, and reservoirs.

The proposed tourism services will include mixed-use service complexes, a central square, an artificial reservoir, water sports facilities, a marina, beaches, a safari park, a multifunctional service area, resort accommodations, landscaped green spaces, camping sites, scenic reservoirs, and wellness retreats.
