The incident happened at nearly 1.45 pm at the bar named Circus on Ly Tu Trong Street in District 1.

After the fire was discovered, several people inside the bar rushed out, calling for help. The HCM City Fire Prevention and Rescue Police sent six fire engines.
The police then accessed the scene from the rooftops to extinguish the fire and rescued four others who were stuck inside the building.

According to witnesses, the venue was closed at the time of the fire. Inside, some workers were welding and making repairs.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
