Speaking to Dantri/Dtinews on December 2, the airport's director, Phan Kieu Hung, said the service would officially launch on January 1, 2025, when passengers can pay for access to the priority lane at the security screening point in Terminal T1.

"The service will apply to commercially important persons (CIP) of Vietnamese airlines, business class passengers (or equivalent) of international airlines, and loyalty programme members of Vietnamese airlines who are eligible to use the priority lane for security screening," he said.

The fee is VND100,000 per passenger, excluding value-added tax. Children under two are exempt from the payment, while children aged 2-12 receive a 50-percent discount.

The same service was previously launched at Hanoi-based Noi Bai Airport's International Terminal.

Currently, all airports in Vietnam provide priority lanes for high-ranking officials, the elderly, children, people with disabilities, and pregnant women.
