The first front scheduled for October 19-21 would cause scattered showers and thunderstorms in mountainous areas, with little significant temperature drop.

The second, expected on October 22-23, would be stronger, bringing cooler temperatures at night and morning, along with increased rain.

In Hanoi, the temperatures dropped to 21 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, on October 19-20, central localities from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh would see downpours. After October 22, the cold weather would expand and intensify in localities from Quang Binh to Quang Ngai.

That intensive cold weather will intensify in the northern and central regions of Vietnam from December 2024 to January 2025.
