According to Tran Van Thu, Party Secretary of Hoai Thanh Commune in Hoai Nhon District, three men swam at a beach in the commune around 5 pm on Tuesday. Due to rough seas, two of them were swept away and one was later found dead.
Shortly after the incident, locals recovered the body of one victim and handed it over to the family. Authorities are still actively searching for the missing person.
Thu warned people not to swim in areas without lifeguards to ensure their safety, especially during rough sea conditions.
