According to Doctor Dao Huu Than from the Hanoi Centre for Disease Control, between 70,000-100,000 children will get the measles vaccine in this campaign.
"Up to 95% of children aged 1-5 are expected to be vaccinated against measles and rubella this year," Than said.
According to a report from the centre, the city recorded an additional six measles cases from October 4 to 11, bringing the total number from the outset of the year to 23. Meanwhile, there was no infected case registered during the same time last year.
