Among the localities hardest hit by the storm, Quang Ninh saw a large number of buildings, roads, and other construction works ruined. They included the headquarters of seven state departments and agencies, 13 hospitals and healthcare centres, hundreds of tourists vessels, and dozens of roads and expressways.

More than 160 boats sank during the storm.

Some major transport projects including the Ha Long - Van Don Expressway, provincial roads 326, 342, 329, 330, and National Road 18 were heavily damaged.

Statistics by local authorities said that as of September 15, Yagi left 25 dead and over 1,000 injured in Quang Ninh. The disaster also caused losses of over VND23.70 trilion.

Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee has requested an urgent reconstruction of infrastructure works in the area.

Local authorities have also announced financial support of nearly VND100 billion (USD4 million) to 122 families who lost their homes or suffered severe damage due to the disaster. Additionally, 1,703 households with severely damaged homes will receive VND50 million for repairs.
