
Military officers carry an injured crew man to Con Dao Island for treatment.
According to the initial information, at around 3:30 pm on September 19, fishing boat BV-99778 was hit by a foreign vessel in the area around 20 nautical miles southeast of Con Dao Island, causing 14 crew members to fall into the sea.
At that time, the boat was transporting around 20,000 tonnes of diesel oil.
At roughly 8:30 pm on the same day, 12 crew members of the boat were safely rescued by two fishing boats, but two others remained missing.
One crew member suffering injury to his left leg and was taken to a medical station for emergency care.
Ba Ria-Vung Tau authorities have urged concerned agencies to search for the two missing.
