According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV), the airports on the list are Van Don in Quang Ninh, Cat Bi in Haiphong, Noi Bai in Hanoi, Tho Xuan in Thanh Hoa, Vinh in Nghe An and Dien Bien in Dien Bien Province.
These airports would face heavy rain and violent gusts of wind due to the typhoon's impact.

The storm will affect Van Don and Cat Bi airports from the night of September 6 to the morning of September 7. Because of torrential rain and strong wind, visibility may be reduced to as low as 1 kilometre.
This afternoon, September 4, Van Don International Airport secured the control tower, carefully checked equipment, and relocated potentially affected items to safe places.
Airports and airlines have been urged to promptly update storm information.
The National Centre for Hydrometeorological Forecasting has outlined two potential scenarios for the trajectory of Storm Yagi, this year's third tropical storm.
Both scenarios predict heavy rainfall, which poses a significant risk of flash floods, landslides, especially in mountainous regions, and urban flooding.
