Passenger transport vehicles operating on this route will pass through the customs gate of Bac Luan II Bridge, which is part of the Mong Cai (Vietnam) - Dongxing (China) international border gate pair.
The implementation of passenger transport between Quang Ninh's Halong City and Guangxi's Nanning City aims to boost overall tourism development and diversify products in the northern Vietnamese coastal province and its renowned destination, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Halong Bay.
Quang Ninh Department of Transport previously issued a notification letter listing businesses and non-periodic passenger transport vehicles from China operating on the route between the border areas of Vietnam and China, specifically the route between the cities.
Measures have been taken to assist businesses in expediting customs procedures at the Bac Luan II Bridge Customs Gate. They also ensure strict inspection, supervision, and management of vehicles and passenger luggage on passenger transport vehicles in accordance with the two countries' laws and their bilateral road transport agreement.
A bus route runs between Phong Linh Bus Station in Nanning and Bai Chay Bus Station in Quang Ninh.
There will be one bus daily every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, starting in Nanning at 11 am (Beijing time) and arriving in Halong at 2.30 pm (Hanoi time).
