
The Phap Van-Cau Gie Expressway sees traffic congestion on September 3.
The figures showed a fall of 28 traffic accidents and 36 fatalities compared to the same period last year, the ministry said, adding that all of them were road accidents.
During the four-day holiday from August 31 to September 3, traffic police dealt with over 60,300 traffic violations nationwide, imposing fines totalling over VND14.60 billion. They seized 1,496 vehicles and revoked over 1,500 driving licenses.
Several expressways including the Noi Bai-Lao Cai, and the Phap Van-Cau Gie saw serious congestion on the first and the last day of the holiday.
