Dong Phu authorities have announced that they found the body of a 10-year-old boy on Tuesday morning and were still looking for a girl, also aged 10.
According to the authorities, a local man saw an electric bike and two pairs of children's sandals by the stream early on Monday afternoon. And when he passed by the site late that afternoon, he still saw them there. He immediately reported his findings to the authorities.
At the same time, another local man, Tran Van Anh, also came to the authorities to report the missing of his son and a classmate who had gone out together since early afternoon.
Rescue forces have been sent to the stream to look for the two children throughout the night, and they found the body of the boy this morning.
Heavy rain was in the area on Monday, and the water rose high in the stream.
