Hanoi police seize nearly 100 kilos of drugs hidden in wine boxes

According to the police, the discovery was made on July 15 when they inspected a shipment from France arriving at Noi Bai International Airport.

Upon examination, authorities found eight boxes containing 97.50 kilos of synthetic drugs, which were vacuum-sealed and disguised as wine bottles.

All the drugs were seized, and a 29-year-old man was detained for drug trafficking.

Following further investigations, authorities arrested two other men aged 29 and 26 on July 19 on the same charge.

The Hanoi Police Department has launched criminal proceedings against all three suspects.

The investigation is ongoing.
