National Roads 4, 4C, and 34, have been seriously damaged, posing the risk of traffic accidents.

Meanwhile, National Road 4D in Lao Cai has also been damaged by the heavy rain on July 21-23.

The Ministry of Transport has assigned the Department for Roads of Vietnam and the local transport departments to repair damaged road sections. When the repair work is finished, the two agencies must report the result to the Ministry of Transport for the declaration of the end of the emergency situation.

In July, the Ministry of Transport also announced a natural disaster emergency in the central province of Nghe An, where rain damaged National Road 16.
