Vietnamese railways will operate more train services to serve higher demand during the National Day holidays.
According to Vietnam Railways, the firm will run additional return train services from HCM City to Nha Trang and Quy Nhon, Nha Trang to Danang, and from Hanoi to Quang Binh.
For instance, Train SE30, connecting Saigon Station and Quy Nhon City, will operate between August 29 and September 2, and train SE29, from Quy Nhon back to Saigon, will run from August 30 to September 3.
Trains SNT4 and SNT8 will be added for the HCM City-Nha Trang route on August 29-30; train SNT5 will be added for the HCM City-Nha Trang direction on September 2-3.
Meanwhile, train services SE42 and SE41 will operate on the Nha Trang-Danang route between August 30 and September 1, and trains SP7 and SP8 will run on the Hanoi-Lao Cai route between August 30 and September 3.
Ticket discounts for social policy beneficiaries, including Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, people exposed to Agent Orange, people with disabilities, the elderly, children and students will be offered during the holiday period.
When purchasing a return ticket, passengers will enjoy a 5 percent discount on the return ticket for individuals and 7 percent for group bookings of 20 or more people.
