Two dead in Binh Phuoc boiler explosion

At least two workers were killed and one other was injured when a boiler exploded at a cashew production company in the southern province of Binh Phuoc on Monday.

According to a report from local authorities, the tragic accident occurred at 7.30 am at the LC Buffalo Company in Tan Phu Town when some 69 employees were working.

The boiler suddenly exploded, killing two mechanics at the site. The victims were identified as Nguyen Van Tu, 42, and Nguyen Van Thuy, 32. Many workers tried to put out the fire and one of them was injured.

A rescue teams of 10 fire engines and 100 firefighters were sent to the site and they were able to brought the fire under control at 10 am on the same day.

Police are investigating the cause of the explosion.
