Around 20 areas in Chuong My District have been left between 0.5-2 metres under water, affecting 7,410 people. Among those, 4,329 people need to be evacuated.

Nguyen Dinh Thu from Tien Tien Village said that 50 households have experienced inundation following heavy rain since July 23. To date, the situation has not improved.
In Nhan Ly Village, people travel by boat. To ensure safety, many children and the elderly have been moved to other places.
By this morning, July 31, 6.1 kilometres of dyke in 10 communes in Tot Dong were flooded. Meanwhile, 103 bridges and drains were damaged.
Up to 1,500 hectares of rice and crops and 1,600 hectares of aquaculture were flooded.
In Quoc Oai District, the flooding hit five communes with 2,546 people.
Some days ago, a 56-year-old man in Hoa Thach Commune was killed after being swept away by the floodwaters. Up to 11,120 poultry in the commune have been washed away.
Quoc Oai District’s authorities have arranged for 3,890 people, 156 vehicles and equipment, and 3,235 cubic metres of sand to deal with the inundation. They have also provided 160 relief packages to households impacted by the flooding.
