The state president who was accompanied by Chief of Party Central Committee Office Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Lieutenant-General To An Xo, and Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen, offered incense to commemorate late party, state and government leaders who are resting at the cemetery.

The grave of late Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will be placed near the graves of late Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu and late Party General Secretary Le Duan.

Located in Cau Giay District, Mai Dich Cemetery is the resting place of politburo members of the Party Central Committee, war veterans holding First-class Independence Medals or higher, and scientists, authors holding the Ho Chi Minh Awards, or outstanding military heros.


According to the state funeral committee led by State President To Lam, a tribute service for the party leader will be organised at the National Funeral House at 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street in Hanoi from 7 am-10 pm on July 25 and from 7 am-1 pm on July 26.

A memorial service will be organised at the National Funeral House at 5 Tran Thanh Tong Street in Hanoi at 1 pm on July 26. And the burial service will be held at 3 pm the same day at Mai Dich Cemetery in Hanoi.
