The case occurred this morning, July 17, at a three-storey house in Pho Yen City.

According a report from local authorities, Xoan, 49, and her 25-year-old son were making tofu on the first floor when the boiler exploded at around 8.30. As a result, the son died on the spot. Meanwhile, Xoan and her 48-year-old neighbour were injured.
The house was seriously damaged, and the awnings of two adjacent houses were also blown off. A passenger bus running through the house had its windows shattered.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
