Modified vintage Russian jeeps have been used to transport tourists around Hanoi.
A fleet of UAZ jeeps manufactured decades ago has recently been seen transporting tourists in central Hanoi. The vehicles are owned by the Ha Noi Backstreet Tours Company.
The roofs of the vehicles have been removed.
They are registered to carry only five people but often transport seven or eight passengers.
An inspection team from the Ministry of Transport said the vehicles had caused traffic safety violations.
UAZ vehicles are famous for their strength and durability and are popular in Vietnam.
