The elevated section linking Nhon in Bac Tu Liem District and Cau Giay Street in Cau Giay District is around 8.5 kilometres.
Ten trains have been certified for quality and environmental and technical safety by the Vietnam Register.
The trains designed by French manufacturer Alstom have four carriages each with a capacity of between 944 and 1,124 passengers.
The trains feature designated priority areas for the disabled as well as seats reserved for the elderly, women and children.
The Nhon-Hanoi Station metro project spanning 12.5 km has eight elevated stations and four underground stops. It goes through the districts of Bac Tu Liem, Nam Tu Liem, Cau Giay, Dong Da, Hoan Kiem and Ba Dinh.
