Thousands of vehicles inched forward metre by metre under the pouring rain on a lot of the capital’s streets, including Tran Duy Hung, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Nguyen Trai and Le Van Luong streets. The situation worsened during the morning rush hour.
Ha Dong District recorded rainfall of 72mm, followed by Nam Tu Liem, Thuong Tin and Thanh Oai districts with 68mm; 41.3 and 33.6mm respectively.
Some areas in Hanoi faced flooding, including Trieu Khuc, Luong Khanh Thien and Yen Xa.
According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, Hanoi would continue witnessing more rain today with rainfall of 30-70mm. The rain would result in inundation in some spots. Photo by TTXVN.
