Police in HCM City have detained 90 people and seized 44 kilos of drugs in a large-scale raid of a local drug trafficking ring.
Reports from city police said that Dinh Van Tu Anh was discovered to have led a ring which brought drugs into Vietnam and distributed them to different provinces. The drugs were hidden in canned food and brought into Vietnam.

Following Anh's arrest, police expanded their investigations and arrested 26 people in Go Vap District and seized nearly 40 kilos of drugs and 25,000 ecstasy pills. More than 60 people in Anh's ring were also detained with four kilos of drugs and three guns in Tan Phu and Tan Binh districts.
Police are further investigating the case.
