According to the decision, the retail prices of E5 RON 92 and RON 95 fell by VND510 and VND410 per litre to VND22,110 and VND23,130 per litre, respectively.
This was the second consecutive decrease after local petrol prices rose to nearly VND25,000 per litre on May 2.
Meanwhile, diesel prices slightly increased by VND30 per litre to VND19,870, kerosene rose by VND200 per litre to VND19,900 and mazut was cut by VND90 per kilo to VND17,410 per kilo.
Since the beginning of this year, the ministries have adjusted petrol prices 20 times, increasing prices 11 times and decreasing prices on nine occasions.
