The airline will make use of an A320neo aircraft in order to operate the flights five days a week, including on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The new service will also enable convenient one-stop connections to Vietnam via Delhi for travelers from the United States, Canada, the UK, and Europe.
In terms of routes to Southeast Asia, Air India now operates non-stop flights to Singapore, Bangkok and Phuket of Thailand, and Yangon of Myanmar.
As of July, 2023, the flag carrier is the second-largest airline in India, behind only IndiGo. Air India became the 27th member of Star Alliance on July 11, 2014.
