The Cu Chi Tunnels Management Board has launched tours of the tunnels at night from today, March 18.

The tours take place from 6 pm to 8:40 pm. From 6 pm to 6:50 pm, visitors can watch a military briefing at a sand table and a 3D movie reenacting the Cedar Falls Campaign, one of the most intense operations conducted by enemy forces to eradicate the Cu Chi Tunnel Network.

Between 7.30 pm and 8:40 pm, the Moonlit Battlefield live performance will take place.

The tours will be held on March 18, 22, and 25, priced at VND399,000 (USD16.28) per person.

Located in Cu Chi District, approximately 70 kilometres from central HCM City, the Cu Chi Tunnels were built by locals and soldiers between 1946 and 1968 as shelters from US and Saigon regime troops during the war.

After 1975, some areas of the tunnels have been preserved and used for tourism and educational destinations for younger generations to learn about the Vietnamese resistance.
