According to the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting, the cold front would hit northern localities from March 18. It would bring rain to the north, particularly downpours for some mountainous areas.
The humid weather would end on March 19 due to the impact of the northeast monsoon
Central localities from Thanh Hoa to Ha Tinh would also see the cold weather from March 19.
The National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting said that the humid weather would return to the northern region in the last week of March. In April, there would be 4-5 fronts of humid weather in the north.
High humidity fuels the development of respiratory diseases and allergies, especially affects children and the elderly.
Meanwhile, the southern region is struggling with the prolonged hot weather with temperatures of 35-37 degrees centigrade.
