Phu Ninh Reservoir in Phu Ninh District has recently become an emerging destination for visitors due to its wild beauty. There is a small island on the reservoir with a tree on which is around 10 metres from the shore. People often call it The Lonely Tree.

Food and drink stalls and boat leasing services have been set up to serve tourists. Despite being banned due to drowning risks, some people still swim in the reservoir.
Several accidents have occurred at the reservoir. In 2023, a Grade-11 boy drowned when swimming in the reservoir.
