Buon Ma Thuot City in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak will provide free coffee on March 10 to mark the 50th anniversary of the Buon Ma Thuot Victory.
The Vietnam People’s Army liberated Buon Ma Thuot on March 10, 1975, a key battle in fighting in the Central Highlands.
According to Tran Duc Nhat, vice chairman of the Buon Ma Thuot City People’s Committee, local authorities have called on local coffee suppliers, including Trung Nguyen and An Thai and coffee shops to join the free coffee day.
This is an opportunity for coffee producers and businesses to promote their brands and express their thanks to customers. This year, free coffee stalls will be mainly placed at Buon Ma Thuot Market on Ton Duc Thang Street.
The list of coffee shops participating in the free coffee service will be published soon.
Buon Ma Thuot has planned to turn March 10 into an annual free coffee day.
Pham Van Thai, chairman of Tan Loi Ward People's Committee, said that the ward will encourage local coffee shops to jointly respond to the programme.
