Authorities of the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang have proposed a VND7.43 trillion (USD303.26 million) expansion project of the Tuyen Quang-Ha Giang Highway.
The two-lane 105-kilometre Tuyen Quang-Ha Giang Highway project would include 77 kilometres running through Tuyen Quang. Work on the first phase is already underway.
Under Tuyen Quang’s recommendation, the second phase of the project will be conducted between 2024 and 2026 to expand the 69-kilometre section going through the province to four lanes. The investment would be sourced from the state budget.
The first phase of the project is on schedule.
Once completed, the Tuyen Quang-Ha Giang Highway will finalise the 200-kilometre expressway route from Hanoi to Ha Giang.
