Tet is only over two weeks away and farmers have displayed their best peach trees for hire on Lac Long Quan Street which lies close to the Nhat Tan Flower Village.
Most of those large-size peach trees are old and have prices of between VND10-30 million (USD406-1,219). However, the biggest trees with prices of around VND200 million (USD8,125) are normally for rent.
A farmer, Lan Anh, said that it took her family a lot of time and effort to take care of her tree which she said was unique. The tree has a big trunk with a special shape and lots of buds.
"I'm not going to sell it, instead, I’m just offering it for rent," Anh said.
Another big-size peach tree was priced at VND200 million. It is also for rent at fees of between VND80-100 million for a maximum of 15 days during the Tet period.
The street has attracted lots of visitors.
