Work has begun on a VND1.2 trillion (USD49.58 million) project to build a road section linking Long Thanh International Airport and HCM City.
The 6.40-kilometre road section which belongs to Road 25C runs from Terminal 1 of Long Thanh International Airport and Cat Lai Bridge in HCM City.
The project is scheduled to be completed within two years.
On the same day, construction on Ton Duc Thang Road or Road 25B and the expanded Le Hong Phong Road in Dong Nai, was also kicked off.
Vo Tan Duc, Chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee, said that once finished, the three projects will play an important role in the transport infrastructure system of the key southern economic zone.
Duc also added that work on the Ben Luc-Long Thanh Highway has been resumed while work on Belt Road 3 in HCM City is underway to help boost transport links in the key southern economic zone.
