The weather in the north will become warmer during the coming New Year holiday, but areas in the central region are forecasted to face rains.
Today, December 29, the temperature in the northern region will continue to be higher. However, it remained cold in the early morning and the evening.
Many northern localities, particularly Hanoi, are facing severe air pollution with the air quality index measured at more than 200. This means it is very harmful to people’s health.
The air pollution will continue for some days to come.
On the New Year holiday, the northern region’s daytime temperature would be 24-26 degrees centigrade, meanwhile, the lowest temperature would be between 10-14 degrees centigrade. Central localities from Quang Binh to Danang would experience rain.
Localities from Khanh Hoa to the southern region would have temperatures of between 30-33 degrees centigrade.
Vietnam will have three days off from December 30, 2023 to January 1, 2024, to celebrate the 2024 New Year holiday.
