Le Duan Fashion Street was launched in 2014 and gradually more shops opened, turning the street into the city’s fashion hub.
However, lots of shops on the streets have shut due to business difficulties.The fashion street which used to be busy has become deserted.
It is easy to see signs of the shops being returned.
Shops on the street are leased at VND20-25 million each, depending on their area.
Many shops have been closed for quite a long time and are still waiting for new tenants. Nguyen Anh Vu has been seeking to rent out his shop for several months. It is quite hard to find customers at this time of the year.
Nguyen Van Long, owner of a house on Le Duan Street, said that he had just got his house back. It was previously rented at VND25 million per month.
