The Christmas tree which is 47 metres high and has a diameter of 20 metres is being placed at Ha Phat Church in Ben Hoa City. Each conical hat is installed with a light, creating a stunning beauty.
This is the sixth year Ha Phat Church has built such a conical hat Christmas tree.
Since December 17, thousands of people have come to the church to see the huge Christmas tree.
Work on the tree was started two months ago. With the big size, each stage of the work was carefully done. The church had to calculate the wind resistance and reinforce the cables to ensure safety.
According to Priest Vu Xuan Nghi, this is the biggest Christmas tree built at Ha Phat Church so far.
Pham Thi Hong Duyen whose house is around 20 kilometres from Bien Hoa came to the church to enjoy the giant Christmas tree.
Le Thi Khanh Ly, 40, from HCM City said that she was extremely impressed by the conical hat Christmas tree. The tree will be displayed until the end of the coming New Year holiday.
Other decorations, including grottoes at Ha Phat Church, also attract visitors’ attention.
