Speaking at the awards ceremony held in Ninh Binh Province on December 16, Editor-in-chief of The Investor Newspaper and head of the organising board, Nguyen Anh Tuan, disclosed that this year's event raised USD26,800, a 30 percent increase on the first tournament held last year.
"This year’s event saw the participation of 144 golfers," he said. "The USD26,800 raised at this event is very encouraging, especially in the context of the economy and businesses facing huge difficulties. Contributions collected at the event will be used to grant scholarships to students suffering hardships and achieving outstanding grades throughout the country. We’re committed to working with representatives of donors to deliver all the money to disadvantaged people, especially poor students with outstanding academic achievements."
The head of the organising board extended his gratitude to Hyundai TC Motor for accompanying the tournament as co-organiser.

Nguyen Van Thanh, an entrepreneur from Ha Giang Province, won the championship trophy.
The annual tournament also serves as a networking venue for investors, businesspeople, managers, and media practitioners, according to the organising board.
