Vietnamese PM Pham Minh Chinh hosted a welcoming ceremony for Cambodian PM Hun Manet who arrived on an official visit to Vietnam on Monday morning.
PM Hun Manet and a high-ranking delegation of Cambodia arrived in Hanoi on the morning of December 11, starting a two-day official visit to Vietnam at the invitation of PM Pham Minh Chinh. This is his first visit to Vietnam and also his first visit to an ASEAN member country after the new Cambodian government was formed in August 2023.

During his stay, PM Hun Manet will hold talks with PM Pham Minh Chinh on measures to strengthen cooperative relations between the two countries in various fields, including education, culture, trade, investment, tourism, security and defense.
The two PMs will also exchange views on a number of regional and world issues of mutual concern, witness the signing of a number of agreements and co-chair a Vietnam – Cambodia trade and investment promotion forum.
Besides meeting with other Vietnamese leaders, PM Hun Manet is scheduled to give an important speech on Cambodia’s economic development policy as well as economic-trade relations between Cambodia and Vietnam at Hanoi Foreign Trade University.
