A VND2.3 trillion (USD94.65 million) road project in the southern region of Vietnam has been resumed.

The 72 kilometres Chon Thanh-Duc Hoa Road Project travels through Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh and Long An. Work on the road was started in 2009, but was delayed in 2011 following the government’s instruction.

Work will resume today, November 18 in A Lap Commune in Binh Duong Province’s Dau Tieng District.

The road starts from Binh Duong’s Bau Bang District and ends in Long An’s Duc Hoa District. It will have six lanes and is slated to be completed in 2025.

The project resumption is in line with the national road development planning for the 2021-2030 period
