Many areas in Quang Nam Province have been deeply flooded following heavy rains.

Quang Nam is seeing heavy downpours with average rainfall recorded on November 15 reaching up to 120 mm. Some districts faced much higher rainfall of up to 280mm in Phuoc Son, and 306 mm in Bac Tra My.

More than 10 houses have been damaged by landslides in Nam Giang, Bac Tra My, and Nui Thanh districts.

Hoi An City has also experienced torrential rains over the past three days, causing the water level in Thu Bon and Hoai rivers to rise sharply. Many streets like Bach Dang, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Le Loi and Hoang Van Thu had been submerged by between 0.5-0.7m.

The rain has reduced on November 16 with water level receding in some local rivers. However, it is forecasted that another flood may hit the province on November 18.
