Hoi An has experienced torrential rains over the past three days, causing the water level in Thu Bon and Hoai rivers to rise sharply. Many streets like Bach Dang, Nguyen Thai Hoc, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, Le Loi and Hoang Van Thu have been submerged 0.5-0.7m.

At around 7 am, the water level on the Thu Bon River in Hoi An reached 1.52 metres.

Every corner of the town has been put under water. Residents said that this is the biggest flood so far this year and they have had to travel by boat.

Some deeply flooded areas have been fenced off to ensure safety.

The Japanese Bridge area faces inundation. The same situation has also been seen on the road to Thanh Ha Pottery Village.
