Nacre trees on Truong Chinh Street in Tan Binh District have been removed to serve the project to build the road linking Tran Quoc Hoan and Cong Hoa streets.

Part of Truong Chinh Street has been blocked to ensure safety for the tree cutting.

Most trees have a diameter of between 50-80 centimetres and a height of 30 metres.

Trees are cut into pieces to be convenient for transportation.
In mid-2023, part of the trees in Hoang Van Thu Park in Tan Binh District were also cut down for the project.
The Tran Quoc Hoan-Cong Hoa Road Project was designed to run for four kilometres and have six lanes. The project started in December 2022 and is scheduled to be completed in August next year. Once operated, the road would help to ease traffic congestion in the area around Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
