On November 8, police in Thieu Son District caught Dang Van Toi in The Tho Commune red-handed bringing two stolen dogs to Nguyen The Phuc in the neighbouring commune of Dan Ly.

The police questioned the two men and arrested four more people in the ring including Mai Van Hung, Le Huu Hai, Le Quang Thanh, and Hoang Vang Chung. They are all in Thieu Son District.
During the search of the houses of Phuc and Chung, the police confiscated dozens of dogs, stun guns and snares used for dog theft.
The group is divided into pairs to travel to different areas in Thanh Hoa to steal dogs. The animals were then taken to the houses of Chung and Phuc to await being sold.
