Petrol prices have increased from 3 pm today, November 1, following a decision by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Finance.

Under the decision, the retail prices of E5 RON 92 and RON 95 rose by VND250 and VND416 to VND22,610 and VND23,930 per litre respectively.

However, oil prices have been slashed. Diesel prices decreased by VND549 per litre to VND21,940, kerosene fell by VND448 per litre to VND22,305 and mazut declined by VND373 per kilo to VND16,240.

The two ministries have decided not to top-up the price stabilisation fund at this time.

On October 23, retail petrol prices were raised slightly after two consecutive sharp falls.

Petroleum prices witnessed seven rises between July 3-October 1 before two decreases were made on October 2 and October 11.
