According to the National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from October 18, rains would sharply decrease in central localities from Danang to Quang Ngai. One day later, rains would expand to the northern central provinces of Thanh Hoa and Nghe An and northern localities.
The central region of Vietnam is currently struggling with rain. Between 7 pm on Monday to early this morning, localities from Thua Thien-Hue to Quang Ngai had downpours with a rainfall of 70mm-89.2mm.
On October 17-19, Quang Tri and Quang Nam provinces would have rainfall of up to 350mm.
Meanwhile, a low-pressure front in the East Sea is expected to strengthen into a tropical depression in the days to come.
