At around 2 pm today, October 13, a section of Hai Van Pass experienced a landslide, causing soil and stones to flow onto the road surface.

Local authorities quickly sent rescue forces and equipment to the scene to clear the road.
Traffic police have set up checkpoints to ban vehicles from travelling through the pass. Due to impacts of Storm Son Ca in October last year, the Hai Van Tunnel faced severe landslides.
The central region of Vietnam is experiencing heavy rains, resulting in the serious inundation and landslides in many areas.
