Dalat City People's Committee sent a document to the Khai Vy Company on October 13, asking them to stop the construction of the Merperle Dalat Hotel on Hung Vuong Street in Ward 10.

The move came after a local inspection team found out that the investor had enlarged the hotel by over 4,400 square metres more than the approved design plan.

Khai Vy Company has been asked to contact local authorities to discuss a new design plan for the project and file for a new construction permit. If the new design plan is not approved, the investor will have to remove the parts that contravene regulations.

According to the design plan, the Merperle Dalat project has a total area of over 11,759 square metres with 10 floors two basements and 400 rooms. The five-star hotel project has a total investment of VND1 trillion.
