Dalat environment workers return lost bag for tourist

Two environment workers in the tourist city of Dalat have returned a bag including a laptop, some personal papers and USD4,700 in cash to a visitor.

Police in Dalat City holds a meeting where two local environment workers return the bag to a male tourist on October 12.

On October 12, police in Ward 1, Dalat City held a meeting where two local environment workers Vu Thi Thu and Khieu Nu Thi Thanh Chuc returned the bag to a male tourist, Vo Thanh Chuong.

According to the police, Thu and Chuc, who were from Dalat City Urban Services Company, found the bag left by a tree while sweeping on Nguyen Van Cu Street at 9 pm on October 11.

Checking the bag, the two found a laptop, some personal papers and some US banknotes worth USD4,700. They took the bag to the local police station.

Police identified that the bag belonged to a tourist, Vo Thanh Vuong, 31, from the central province of Quang Ngai. Vuong dropped it while on a tour to Dalat.

The Ward 1 People's Committee has sent a letter of thanks to the two workers for their honesty.
