Support came after an article about Phuong’s family was published in Dantri/DTiNews Newspaper.
According to Phuong, in 2021, when she was pregnant with twins, her husband left home without saying a word. She then took her three children to her parents for support. In July of the same year, she gave birth to twin baby girls Tran Nguyen Thien Di and Tran Nguyen Thien Kim. At that time, the Covid-19 pandemic made life very difficult.
When Thien Di was around three months old, she showed unusual health problems and was diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma.
However, the girl was too small and her tumour was too large for surgery, so she had to undergo chemotherapy to shrink the tumour before surgery could be conducted. Since then, she has mostly stayed at the hospital.
